EyeCare Associates of Haslett and Perry is proud to particiapte in the InfantSEE program, providing a comprehensive eye and vision assessment for infants up to 12 months of age. This one-time, no-cost service is an important part of your child's overall health maintenance program.
A child's vision system is growing and developing especially during the first 8 years of life. Children can have potentially debilitating eye conditions that may go undetected without a complete eye examination. Uncorrected farsightedness, nearsightedness, astigmatism as well as a misalignment of the eyes can lead to permanently reduced vision or legal blindness. At EyeCare Associates, our doctors recommend the following guidelines for children's eye exams: 8 months, 3 years, 5 years and every 2 years after the age of 5. Having these early evaluations allow our doctors to help identify potential problems.
